The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
-Lamentations 3:22-23
God is faithful! PERIODDDDD
Has there ever been a time when you knew that is what nothing but God's grace and mercy that brought you through? As you knew, it should’ve been you, it should’ve been my kids or my family members, BUT GOD. Those moments are the best because you really see God’s charter.
In this verse today, we see that God steadfast love will NEVER stop. The book of Lamentations is considered to be a time of sorrow. You know, during this time the Israelites were still being unfaithful to God. I’ve been studying the Old Testament a lot lately. I always tell my mom that we are just like the Israelites. The Israelites were God's chosen people like God literally handpicked them. Yet, the desires of the world and their ancestors caused their fall. In the book of Lamentations, we see that God is getting ready to turn them over to the hand of their oppressors, but then he will eventually restore them.
While we are just like the Israelites, in our unrighteous to God, guess what…. HE WAS STILL FAITHFUL. And I don’t know about yall, but that brings tears to my eyes. You know why, because even when we don’t want to seek God, he’s still there, even when we turn our back on God, he’s still there. Honestly and truly y'all all, how could you not want to serve a God like that. No matter how much the cultures of this world change, the word of God remains the same. He is constantly showing his goodness and personal integrity
Also, in this verse, we see that each day we shouldn’t take life for granted. Each day we wake up, we should see it as an opportunity to experience God’s grace. We should use that same grace and mercy in our lives daily and be reminded of what He has done for us. As we know, 2020 has been one for the books, but guess what God's is faithful and is still the same. I do believe there will be even more hardships to face in the times coming, but as Christians, we have to remain steadfast and remember where our Hope comes from!!
Please please, take the time out to listen to the words of this song. May the presence of God manifest all over as you listen. God is faithful and his Faithfulness never runs out.
Check it out and let me know what you think... FRFR :)
