When I younger, I sang my little heart out to this song, then I would think I don’t want it to rain, lol. Once I grew older and realized what it meant. I thought, of course, I want it to rain. Malachi 3:8-12 says, “Test me in this . . . and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” The floodgates of heaven are where all of God's blessings are outpoured on his people.
As we approach a new season, we can expect new blessings. When some people hear the word blessings, they often think of material things, but that's not the case. In the days of Noah, the floodgates were literally opened, and it was a fresh spring of water. Noah and his crew had been waiting forever for this.
However, God's blessing is not always about material things. Those are just a plus if you ask me. today, someone may have been praying for peace, or for love, or for whatever it is, and in this season, God is getting ready to open the Floodgates and Let it Rain just as He did in the days of Noah.
Let's be reminded of Noah
